There are 6 types of safari options available for tiger and wildlife tours in India:
- Jeep Safari: Safari tour in national parks of India are done in an open vehicle. This is a 4X4 Maruti Gypsy. A very silent vehicle, and ideal for sighting Tigers and other wildlife. The maximum capacity of this vehicle is 6 guests, plus a guide and a driver.
- Canter Safari: It is also open at the top. It is used to carry large group of tourist to a particular zone. It is usually more than 10 seater and there are only limited no. of canters allowed during morning and afternoon safari.
- Elephant Safari: This was a popular mode of doing safaris in National Parks of India until a few years back. But then we consciously started discouraging using the Elephants for safari purposes for the training that the Elephants have to undergo since their childhood. Most of the national parks have now stopped the Elephant safaris, barring a handful of them.
- Boat safari: Close to 300 rivers flow out of the Tiger reserves in India. So a boat safari has become a unique way of doing the safaris in the national parks of India. Kabini, Satpura, Sunderbans, Katarniaghat, Panna, and Pench are some of the national parks where it is possible to do the boat safaris. Apart from the Tiger reserves, one can do birding as well in Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, and Chambal area in the boat safaris.
- Walking Safari: In Satpura National Park only this can be experienced. Besides you are not alone, there will be a guide and an assistant who will walk with you. You will surely love our walking-safari. Get into the jungle, and explore the flora and fauna of Indian Jungles.
- Balloon Safari: It is a new addition in Bandhavgarh National Park. A person can observe wildlife from an aerial view over the National Park during Tiger safari in India
