Top 10 Must Visit Attractions on the Island of Bali

1. Tanah Lot temple

Located about 20 kilometers from Kuta, Bali's most popular tourism hub, Tanah Lot temple impresses visitors with its magical seaside setting. It's one of the most sacred places in Bali.

2. Uluwatu temple

Another one of Bali's iconic Hindu temples. Uluwatu is located on steep sea cliffs, towering above the best surfing spot on the island. Visit this temple during sunset for an unforgettable experience!

3. Mount Batur

Mount Batur is a sacred active vulcano. A trek to visit its 1,700 meter high summit takes about 2 to 3 hours. Visit Mount Batur's top during sunrise for splendid views over the surrounding mountains and lake Batur.

 

4. Tegallalang rice paddies

If you fancy taking Instagram worthy pictures of Bali's famous rice terraces, then head over to Tegallalang, which is about a 30 minutes drive away from Ubud. Follow the trail through this UNESCO recognized site to enjoy the lush landscapes. 

5. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

Located on a small island on Lake Batur, this little gem of a temple is one of Bali's most picturesque spots. Take a moment to unwind, enjoy the cool temperature in these highlands and don't miss the nearby botanic gardens.

6. Ubud's Monkey Forest

When visiting Ubud, you'll be sorry to miss the Monkey Forest, located on the edge of Ubud town. Enjoy the company of the long-tailed macaques, but make sure to keep your belongings on a safe distance.

7. Kuta Beach
