Known for our year-round outstanding hospitality, clean and comfortable cabins & lodge rooms, continental breakfasts and affordable lodging rates, the Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins is situated in a spectacular scenic mountain valley in the midst of the Montana Rockies.

As an AAA Diamond Member, we offer private Glacier National Park Cabin Rentals and Lodge Room accommodation.

Located in the heart of Bad Rock Canyon and just minutes outside of the west entrance to the Glacier National Park, the Flathead National Forest is in our backyard and we are a convenient drive to nearby Bigfork, Flathead Lake, Lakeside, Kalispell, Whitefish and West Glacier, Montana.

The Main Lodge--originally built in 1907 and updated in 2003--provides classic ambiance with modern amenities, 3400 square feet of rustic charm and still boasts its original over-sized natural stone fireplace and pole pine lodge architecture.

With Montana’s Rocky Mountains as your backdrop, the Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins will provide you with the perfect setting for your next family vacation, corporate retreat, or weekend getaway.

The Historic Tamarack Lodge is truly a four-season destination and offers--within a five-mile radius--an array of activities appealing to all ages and a wide range of interests. The Flathead National Forest lies right outside our back door providing miles of trails for cross-country skiers and snowmobilers and ample opportunities for fishing and hunting. Hiking is always available and nearby Kalispell, Whitefish and Bigfork have plenty of boutiques and antique shops. In the summer months, there are ample opportunities for water sports whether touring the Flathead Lake, rafting on the rivers or shooting down the slides at the nearby Big Sky Water Park. Regardless of the weather, season, or activity there is always spectacular scenery.

Fly directly into Kalispell, MT. to Glacier International Airport (Kalispell) just 20 minutes from The Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins or take the Amtrak into West Glacier or Whitefish, Montana.

Glacier National Park Cabin Accommodation

Two-storey accommodation for travellers to Glacier National Park is soon to be available at the Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins.

Located on the edge of the Flathead National Forest, with easy access to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, our seven new Mountain Lake Cabins provide cozy accommodation for up to four guests and are scheduled to open in May 2012.

We have one cabin that is fully ADA compliant.
