Marketing eco-resort in Bahia, Brazil: how to attract the right clientele?

Hello,

I have 72 hc of land on the ocean in Bahia and I would like to promote as a Eco resort. Our houses are made of wood, piacava roof and glass; our eletricity is 95% solar, so is our water and hot water. We do have a phone and at the moment we are working on getting better internet sistem hapening. I am a yoga instructor/auyrvedic practicioner, that lived in the US for the past 30 years and started this project about 3 years ago. I belong to a site called "hidden pousadas"; that is all the advertising that I do for my place. I get a little concerned about guests, because there is not much to do there, only ocean, kayaking, surfing, bird watching,.crab catching. Is a great space for meditation, yoga, reading or doing nothing.

We don't have air conditioning of TV; we recicle all our trash and do permacuture on our land.

Would you have a suggestion on how to go about attracting the right kind of people there?>

Thank you

Tereza

Hello Tony,

I looked at your site and it seems like my place would fit within what you are offering.

I will look into how to add my site to yours; will contact you in case I need it.

Thank you for replying.

Sincerely

Tereza

Tereza, I run an ecotourism lodging directory: Eco Tropical Resorts.  Eco lodges in Mexico average between 200-300 visitors from my site a month.  That might be a good start and it's pretty reasonable, $100 a year or $9.95 a month.  I keep the fees low so that small places can sign up.  Good luck!

Hello Lise,

Thank you so much for replying.

I now need customers. take a look at my page www.montecristoriverlodge.com Thanks

Bon dia Tereza, We ran a small resort for many years and found that yoga groups were a good fit. We announced the availability of the resort for group activities in many yoga publications and to many yoga groups with considerable sucess.

Cheers,   John
