Hi Cessy, the article will be on my sites, www.LatinFlyer.com and www.LatinFlyerBlog.com, later next week. During my travels around Latin America I've come across several really cool but now defunct hotels with interesting architecture and super cool histories (then I'm going to follow that article with a round-up of 5 or 6 very cool mid-20th-century hotels that actually still function). I would loved to have been in Lima in '83 to see -- I bet it was a gorgeous hotel!

Hi Mark, where will you publish that article? sounds fascinating!
back in 1983 I worked in Downtown Lima where back then all the Airlines and Travel Agencies where on La Colmena Street, and if I am not mistaken it was still funtioning, wow memories walking by that beautiful landmark El Gran Hotel Crillon!
