Recommendations for visit to Italian section of Switzerland? Especially food & horses?

 Hi all need some guidance on  " must see" in Lugano/Ascona  /Tincino Valley. Need restaurants, "not to miss"  local food , hotels, site history etc. also  a horse back ride.
