Switzerland

Heidi-ho! The country that's practically synonymous with banking, skiing, and breathtaking mountains also has great food, history, and culture. Furthermore, it's like visiting four countries in one: French, German, Italian, and Romansch.

Have you ever been to Gruyeres? Where the famous cheese comes from? I've always known it as a typical Swiss village, filled to the brim with tourists. But there are other, less-known sides to it.

Find out about the Hidden Face of Gruyeres...

Check out Atzmännig. Their website is not stellar but they have a lot of options for kids.

My daughter (12) and I plan on spending a week or so in Switzerland in July or August. Might anyone have suggestions for kid-fun activities or places to visit? I'm not sure if we're flying into Zurich or Geneva. Any ideas would be most appreciated!

I loved Switzerland - we were only able to visit for a few days this year but I can't wait to go back! Just wrote a post about why I think it's worth the costs

A Tripatini member asks a good question about Switzerland. Can you help?

If you are visiting Zurich or just moved here and want to get acquainted with the city, check out the Zurich section on my blog, Globetrotting in Heels

Also, please feel free to get in touch if you need help on connecting with other expats in the area!

A Swiss referendum has overwhelmingly approved suicide tourism. Will many people take Switzerland up on this?
