UK Christmas

In England less emphasis is placed on Christmas Eve than in other countries, much more is made of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Carol singing, midnight church services and going out to the pub are some of the activities that many families enjoy (sometimes all three activities can be combined into one fun night out!).

Night time on Christmas Eve though is a very exciting time for young children. It is the time when Santa or Father Christmas comes. They hang up their stockings and go to…

Denver's history spot

My favourite town in Colorado: http://tours-tv.com/ru/colorado  which history began a long time ago...

It wasn’t long before tents, tepees, wagons, lean-tos, and crudely constructed log cabins lined the banks of the South Platte River as prospectors and fortune-seekers poured into the area. They came from all over the country, traveling on foot, in covered wagons, by horseback, and even pushing their belongings in…

Canadian dreams

Winter's coming to Russia, however in Canada it has already covered all the territory: http://tours-tv.com/ru/canada

Toronto was founded in 1793, by the English because of its protected harbour, vast boreal forests, countless river valleys and fresh water, lakes in its territory.

Mission Valletta

My favourite town in Malta: http://tours-tv.com/en/Valletta

There is much to see in Valletta - something for every one.  In the time of the Knights, the Grand Masters would give a gift to the order.  They used to try and outdo each other regarding the splendour of the gift.  Plus the Order wanted to show the visitors their wealth and power and this has led to a number of splendid  Palaces and Cathedrals richly decorated and with…

Chili papers

One of the most interesting countries in Latin America: http://tours-tv.com/ru/chile

  • Chile borders three different countries; Argentina to the east, Bolivia to the northeast and Peru to the north
  • Chile has an unusual ribbon shape. It is 4300 km long and just 175 km wide (on average)
  • Forests, grazing land, volcanoes and lakes are all features of southern Chile.
  • Chile had to endure a 17 year military…

Egyptian nights

Favourite Russian travel destination in line with Turkey: http://tours-tv.com/ru/egypt

  • Most of the population live near the Nile River as this is the only ground where food can be grown.
  • The whole country is about as large as the combined size of Texas and California.
  • Apart from the Nile River, most of the land in Egypt is desert.
  • Egypt receives very little rainfall except in winter…
