The 5 Most Beautiful Beaches in Corsica

There are some of the most stunning beaches in the Mediterranean in Corsica, linked by kilometres of sand and miles. The beaches of Corsica are the most important visitors, especially in the summer. A semi rocky island, surrounded by the sea safety and the beautiful sceneries. You can find uncrowded little bays which are made more characteristic by seclusion. Here are my top five picks, and why:

Playa de Palombaggia

Not far from capital Portovecchio, this strip of of exquisite white sand, entirely surrounded by nature and trees. The trees are reflecting on the water's translucent surface so holidaymakers can dive into a mirror of vibrant colours from green to blue.

Playa Tonnara

You may reach the second beach called Tonnara by going towards Bonifacio.
Thanks to its design and its characteristic position it's great for individuals who loves surfing and water activities. The wind blows forcefully in this small crystalline bay creating a perfect stream for enthusiasts of the sailing.

Beach of Piantarella

Rocks and calcareous rock form a distinctive and enticing scenery around the waters of Piantarella Beach. Follow the signs leading to Punta dello Sperone and observe the profiles in the distance of the two isles Ratino and Piana. There is an amazing archaeological site not far from the beach that reveals the ruins of the Roman building from the 2nd century AD. Piantarella is a wonderful combination of contemporary and history, great for a peaceful day.

Rondinara Beach

The Bay of Rondinara continues, a beautiful hemisphere in the waters. The Mediterranean Sea's strong and crystalline blue shines over the bay and transforms it into the night and day captivating landscape. At night Rondinara hosts exciting moonlight festival with music and the warmth typical of the summer.

Playa de Santa Giulia

The beach of Santa Giulia finally is the final Corsican beach we speak about. It is situated in one of the most touristy sections of the entire island along the western coast. The beach is quite interesting, white and very fine, so it is still adhered to the skin. Santa Giulia is ideal for families and friend groups that wish to unwind without going too far.
