Sa Pa terraces cited as one of 30 most beautiful places in all around the world

Recently Sa Pa – a town located in very northern of Vietnam has been listed in the list of top 30 most beautiful sites in the world by Mother Nature website.

Sa Pa is well known as the home land for some of 8 different ethnic minorities likes: H’mong, Dao, Tay, Nung, Thai, Xapho, Lu, Giay. This is beautiful landscape area with endless of terraces where local people grow rice. Local people have been doing the seemingly impossible mission of turning the mountain slope in to terraces so they could keep water in order to grow rice which usually requires a flat surface and plenty of water.

The terraced fields not only brings tons of rice for local consumed but are a stunning site to visit.

The best time to visit Sa Pa are August and September as local are about ready for harvesting their crop and this is also lots of opportunities for great shots of terraces.

Some other locations included in the top 30 are Angkor Wat (Cambodia), Tunnel of Love (Ukraine), Neuschwanstein Castle (Germany),   Antelope Canyon (the US), and Lavender Field (France).
