I am flying from Indianapolis to San Antonio through Chicago O'Hare on Friday.  It is part of a Travelocity package.  O'Hare will be closed until 10:00am Thursday and hundreds of flights have been cancelled.  Is there any chance that my flight from O'Hare to San Antonio will actually take off with the tremendous backlog of flights? I have not yet purchased the ticket but want to do so asap if the chances that the Chicago flight will actually happen.  Does anyone have any thoughts on the situation?  My alternative is to drive to Texas (going to the Super Bowl) and that is not appealing!  Thank you.

Continental is running flights to IAH (Houston).... You did not mention which airline but if it is American - maybe... CO - might be the best bet because then you can at least get to Houston...
Thank you.  Ended up booking through Washington DC and had no issues outbound.  Of course, the back end flight after the super bowl was delayed in DC for 3 hours!  Thanks for your response.
Good to know!  I hope your team won~!
