PR contacts for Arts in Metro story

Hi all. I have some contacts, but many of you might have more updated info.

 

I'm doing a story (quick turnaround, natch) on great public art in metro systems. I've already contacted a few Metro Arts people directly. but I need metro contacts (or at least tourism and/or PR) contacts for the following cities:

 

Moscow, Stockholm, Singapore, Vienna, Buenos Aires, Paris, Lisbon and Brussels. I'll go to the Tripatini PR group, as well as individual destination groups as well. But any immediate contacts are greatly appreciated!

You may want to add Montreal to your list. They have quite a bit of public, modernistic art in their subway.

I probably have some of the other contacts somewhere, but I'm traveling, so thought I could do some one-stop shopping here on Tripatini. :)

Sandra Bloodworth, the arts czar of the NYC subways, has done a marvelous job now for 20 or 25 years -- and she still has that Mississippi accent. You can drop my name; maybe she'll remember me.

Ed, I actually was hoping Sandra was still in charge. I am including NYC, of course, and I'd interviewed (and met) her about a decade ago for an Art & Antiques piece.

 

But I'm not home, can't find her email, and the MTA Arts in Transit site doesn't have contact info. Do you? Would be most grateful! J

Hey Ed. Thanks. Unfortunately Paulette is no longer at Yeshiva (?). I left a voice mail for whoever now handles communications at the number you gave me, and hope she'll get back to me.

 

Oddly, MTA's website doesn't have press contacts, let alone for the Arts in Transit program.

 

I've at least heard from a few others. Still need Moscow, Brussels (or Lisbon---they're "tied" for #10) and Buenos Aires. The more direct the contact (I don't think people really respond promptly to info@ or even press@), the better.

One last cry for help.... Thanks to those who've responded.

 

I'm not getting any response from my contacts at the Belgium Tourist Office or Russia (well, that's just an info@ e-ddress). I've been traveling and unable to call the NYC offices. Does anyone have a contact at either tourist office, or even better, at the Moscow and Brussels offices? Deadline is approaching fast. I just need some images and basic facts about the Metro Arts programs (and a contact for fact-checking). Many thanks!

Ed, many thanks. It just occurred to me to try Liliane (I'd forgotten that Brussels is considered Flemish "territory"), and emailed her. Hoping she can come up with some info. Again, really appreciate all your help. I found Sandra (or she found me) after a very convoluted path. I'll say hi for you. :)
