New Years Eve in Las Vegas

I'd like to plan ahead and book somewhere if required.

You are definitely going to need to book way in advance - how very smart of you to start now!

Expect to pay more. The week between Christmas and New Year's is one of the busiest weeks for the Las Vegas folks.

So have you been to Vegas before? That will help with some advice. Do you know where you want to stay? Do you have an activity in mind (ie: concert, etc?)

Hey thanks for the replies.

We arrive in Vegas on the evening of the 28th and leave on the 2nd and have booked a suite at the MGM on a discount package they were running about 4 weeks ago.

I've been to Vegas a couple of times and Nicola has been about 10 times but neither of us for NYE.

We are debating if we will be able to just book a table for dinner somewhere on NYE then just go to a few bars, or if we need to buy a ticket for a bar or club to ensure we won't be stuck outside at midnight. We are not to bothered about having a concert or anything specific booked just somewhere where we can get a drink.

Do you think we should book a restaraunt this far out too?

Ok thanks. Sounds like worst case scenario we won't end up locked out of everything and eating pringles from our mini bar...
