What is the best way to get from Milan to Verona via public transportation? How long does it take? cost?

Best and most enjoyable way is by train.  There are trains all day long and the trip only takes about an hour.  But be aware there are two train stations in Verona.  You want Porta Nuova, the newer and main station in the city.
