During the winter of 1838, the famous Polish composer Frederick Chopin and the French writer Georges Sand lived in this monastery. There is a collection of furniture, including a piano where Chopin composed some of his masterpieces. George Sand later wrote a book "A Winter in Majorca," which tells of time spent on the island. Other interesting sites are The King Sancho’s Palace will also be visited where you will enjoy a 10-minute piano concert before free time for shopping and exploration in Valldemossa on your own.
