I suggest you visit one of following cities: Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Fraser Valley, Toronto, Ottawa, Kitchener, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Halifax and Montreal. These cities are filled with many activities, maybe you can’t explore all in your first trip.

Have a comfortable stay in Luray VA Accommodations

This is a tall order,  Finn! We are a HUGE country (we have 4 1/2 time zones...to drive just from Montreal to Toronto takes about 6 hours). A lot of it depends on your interests, the ages of your kids, your budget and so on.  I'd recommend concentrating a trip on the West (BC and Aberta), the middle bit (Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal/Quebec City) or Atlantic Canada (Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick).

My client Maxxim Vacations has all kinds of holidays - try visiting them at www.maxximvacations.com.

Cheers!

Are you flying or driving?
What are the family's interests?
How old are the kids?
What time of year?

I live on the East Coast in Nova Scotia. I suggest you start here. Much of the history of North America begins here. There are forts for kids to explore. There stellar golf course. Great food - and local food: lobster, scallops, mussels, clams, shrimp, salmon. There are all kinds of festivals and events (look on novascotia.com). There are biking trails and secondary roads to ride. We have the world's highest tides, so you can walk on the ocean floor. We have the oldest dinosaurs in the world and great stretches for fossils. Sandy beaches. Quirky history. Whale watching. Theatre. Concerts (local music, but we do get big names: Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Kiss, etc.). We're multi-cultural: native, English, French, Acadian (Louisiana's Cajuns started here), Celtic. In parts of the province people still speak Gaelic.

If you're flying, Halifax Standfield International (YHZ) is just two hours from NYC.
Well you could look at Ontario. With Toronto and Ottawa close and the French appeal of Montreal not much farther, plus you have Niagara Falls one of the 7 wonders. We have driven to Toronto or Ottawa for the day from our place. We have had people stay here and use it as a launch pad to go visiting the region. Plus we have Sandbanks Provincial Park 45 minutes away in Prince Edward County with nice beaches. There is also winery tours in PEC as well. Plus all the museums in Ottawa and Toronto and Canada's Wonderland in Toronto too.
