The Maldives, Seychelles, or Tahiti for an island escape!
I spent my honeymoon in St. Lucia and loved it.
There are myriad honeymoon destinations. It ups to the budget and mood of the honeymooner where they want to go. Anyhow, for me the best honeymoon destinations are Mauritius, Maldives, Virgin Island, Shenandoah Valley, Bahamas and Venice.

Have a comfortable stay in Luray VA Accommodations
All good answers here. But Finn, I'm having the damnedest time figuring out what age category you are from your picture.

Seriously, some people just want to lie around in bed on their honeymoon; others, especially people who've been living together for awhile, want to use this opportunity to see and/or do something they both enjoy. What do you and your betrothed (on which subject -- congratulations!) like to do/see?
Leave the age. It always ups to you where and when you to have your honeymoon vacations with your partner whether its first time, second or third.
The Maldives is selected by a lot of honeymooners!
I don't think there is such a thing. It depends on the couple and their expectations. I sell Mexico and we're getting more and more colonial city requests. Cobblestone streets, great food, art, shopping, luxe accommodations (and a foreign language!). Comparable to some Europeans towns but closer and much less expensive.

I can't speak for the rest of the world but for Mexico, I'd suggest Guanajuato, Isla Holbox, Costalegre or Oaxaca as interesting choices.
The best honeymoon destination is the place that meets all their expectations. It differs for every couple. Many want to go someplace tropical. If they're professionals and work demanding, high-stress jobs, a beach may be more important. Others can't deal with the heat and humidity. If they've never traveled anywhere, experiencing a different culture may be more along their alley. There are also different types of travelers. Some are adventurous, others not so much. Some are active and want to go ziplining, kayaking, snorkeling/scuba diving, etc., while others want to relax and be pampered with spa treatments and fine dining. Budget does play an important role as to how far the couple can travel and the types of activities they will enjoy, but it mainly boils down to the type of experience they desire.
The island of Kauai in Hawaii!
Since I just returned from my honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, and friends of mine did a similar Amalfi trip, I think I'm a bit prejudiced :)
Aloha Finn,

For honeymoons, I don't think you can do much better than Hawaii. We have islands that are perfect for all types of couples. If you want to enjoy the nightlife together and have opportunities to shop till you drop, consider Oahu. If you want to enjoy peace and quiet, try Maui or Kauai. If you are adventurous you might want to consider the Volcanically active Big Island.

Still, you really cant go wrong with staying in Hawaii. If you choose a specific island and wish to explore an attraction on a neighbor island, flights are relatively cheap, short, and widely available. You might also want to consider booking a tour. Companies like Discover Hawaii Tours have lots of great packages that include airfare (when necessary). Going this rout will allow you and yours to relax, as your guide picks you up, drives you to amazing spots you most likely would otherwise miss, and drops you back off at your hotel.

Whatever it is you do for your honeymoon, I personally wish the best for you going forward with your marriage.

Mahalo.
