Copy Editor (Freelance, Contract Position)

Company: Development Counsellors International (DCI), a destination marketing firm headquartered in New York City, is looking to hire a Copy Editor on a freelance/contract basis. www.aboutdci.com.

Job Description: Copy Editor will copy edit and contextualize B2B marketing and communication documents ranging from 5-75 pages in length.

• Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of editing experience.
• Expertise with AP-style is required.
• Ability to edit documents with limited lead time and after traditional business hours
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
• Must possess an EIN#, Microsoft Office capabilities and agree to work remotely (off-site from DCI)

Does the fact it asks for an EIN# mean that it is open to American freelancers only? Or would a valid Canadian SIN also work?

John, you'll have to ask them that question; all I know, as someone who occasionally gets paid by overseas outlets, is that it is a very good question.
