St. Barts

Few Caribbean islands have a chicer vibe than this member of the French Antilles -- and few are as pricey. Pas trop cher, c'est possible ici?

I also received that release, and sure it's great comparative value. But the best lodging buys on St. Barths remain the villas (especially if you don't want to eat out every meal), as well as "hotels bourgeois" like the Petite Anges, Hostellerie des Trois Forces or Tropical.

For what it's worth, I just got word of this early-booking deal to one of the Caribbean's top resorts, Le Toiny in St. Barts. It's still pricey, just somewhat less so!

Book by October 31, 2009 and you can take advantage of St. Barts Hôtel Le Toiny’s Early Bird offer. Featuring close to 15 percent savings on a five-night stay or longer, the Early Bird package also includes a rental car along with daily Continental breakfast, private round trip transfers on arrival and departure, laundry service and a welcome amenity. This special offer is available during the peak winter season from January 5th to March 31, 2010.

Prices start at Euro 1130 per night for a junior suite (normally Euro 1250 without a car), Euro 1500 per night for a one bedroom Villa Suite (normally Euro 1680 without a car) and Euro 2430 for a three-bedroom suite (normally Euro 2780 without a car). All accommodations are separate hillside bungalows with private terrace and swimming pool. All rates include service but exclude 5% Island occupancy tax. Full prepayment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Offer is based upon availability.

For further information or to book a package, contact Hotel Le Toiny at 011-590-590-27-88-88 or e-mail
