Are you connected to the tourism/travel/hospitality industries or travel media in any way? If so, please specify how (kindly include any relevant company names/Web sites!).: I have been a travel journalist for over twenty years. My work has appeared in many Canadian and international outlets, including the Globe and Mail, Chatelaine Magazine, Canadian Living and Readers Digest. I have just completed the Frommers Guide to the Niagara Region and am just beginning a city guide to Toronto.

On which destinations & travel topics can you advise members especially well?: I am most familiar with Canadian destinations, but have travelled extensively internationally. I write often about the culinary scene, about the art and culture of destinations, and particularly enjoy the literary associations of each place.

What destinations are you most interested in learning about?: Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali

Other travel / language expertise?: As an avid gardener, I often find myself taken by the gardens I visit when I travel, and I love to write about them. I am also a (very amateurish) painter and I do pen and ink sketches of the places I visit.
