Yes, indeed! You too can visit New York in a highly personal and individual way - and even if there's thousands all around you! Just check out two great websites: http://www.thestreetteacher.com, which is my website with a general overview of what's possible with me, The Street Teacher; and http://thetalkofnewyork.us which is my blog - check out the library! I've been around - and would rather do it with you!

Thanksgiving in New York!

This year for me was a little different - I was working out at JFK, dropping off some British travelers for the flight back home, when I was asked by a friend to meet her at the balloon blow-up on Central Park

Hi Bill:

Wonderful top hear that you bring foks down to the Lower East Side! The neighborhood is always going through lots of change Those huge apartment buildings have all been transformed into cooperative apartments.. As far as moderate price....not sure what you mean by that, as some are hovering in the $800,000.00 range! (I work with someone whose husband grew up in them, and was around for the conversion).

And yes...Community Board # 3 has finally OK'd the development of those parking lots you mentioned. The hold up was the amount of affordable housing allocated to long time residents, and seniors. Check out the blog Bowery Boogie for more info on the guidlines. There is planning for 1000 units, 50% of which are to be low and moderate priced units.

Hope that helps a bit!

Regards,

Susan
