If so, please specify how (kindly include any relevant company names/Web sites!).: Kris Madden is an award winning travel journalist and consultant with more than 20 years experience in the tourism industry. For the past seven years she has focused specifically on eco and sustainable tourism and is the founder of Eco Media Group.

Her articles have appeared in numerous Australian and international publications including The Australian; Sydney Morning Herald; The Age; Sun Herald; and Australian Traveller, amongst others. She is currently the NSW Editor for the travel trade magazine Traveltalk Asia Pacific.

She is also a contributor to a number of books, including Lonely Planet’s ‘Code Green – Trips of a lifetime that won’t cost the Earth’; the National Geographic Adventure Atlas of Australia; and Insight Guides.

In 2007, she was named Travel Writer of the Year Trade/Industry by the Australian Society of Travel Writers and won Best International Story under 1000 words the same year.

Kris has a Master of Applied Science in Communication Management; and is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and Foreign Correspondents Association

She has travelled to more than 50 countries and is passionate about responsible travel and the development of sustainable practices in the tourism industry.
