Cornwall, A County of Contrasts

“By Tre, Pol and Pen shall ye know all Cornishmen” the rhyme used to describe people or places in Cornwall, many surnames and place names still retain these words as prefixes. I have visited Cornwall throughout my life from a small child to adult with my own family and it still remains one of my very favourite places to go on holiday.

Kefalonia, Greece

I first visited Kefalonia in 2000 for my honeymoon. One of the largest of the Ionian islands and probably one of the most unspoilt it is situated off the west coast of Greece. The island seems to have escaped mass tourism but has gained popularity in recent years following it's use as the location for "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" which was filmed there.
