Under the greenwood tree
Who loves to lie with me,
And turn his merry note
Unto the sweet bird's throat,
Come hither, come hither, come hither:
Here shall he see

No enemy
But winter and rough weather

And some thro' wavering lights and shadows broke,
Rolling a slumberous sheet of foam below
They saw the gleaming river seaward flow
From the inner land: far off, three mountain-tops,
Three silent pinnacles of aged snow,
Stood sunset-flush's: and, dew's with showery drops,
Up-climb the shadowy pine above the woven copse
