Britain has some of oldest historic sites in the world, which is what makes it so special. Perhaps one of the most famous amongst Brits is the prehistoric monument ‘Stone Henge’. A collection of huge standing stones around 13ft high and 7ft wide, placed in a circle like formation. No one knows for sure why the stone henge exists, and what it’s purpose is – that’s what makes it such a unique site to visit. If you’re staying more central, then there’s the more obvious historic sites the UK has to offer such as Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
