the UNESCO World Heritage site Alberobello is the town famous for its conical roof white-washed houses. This is the zone of the Valle d'Itria and many thousands of 'trulli dot the valley in and around the local towns of Noci, Locorotondo, Ostuni, Ceglie Massapica and Martina Franca. Every summer in Martina Franca there is the Festival della Valle d'Itria  which always presents a rich and varied program of classical music concerts, opera and films.
