You may have heard that Barcelona is one of the most expensive cities in Spain, but don't believe all the horrors you hear!

It's quite easy to make the city at a low cost. You'll save money when you arrive to Barcelona by using lots of tactics and suggestions! In Barcelona, we know how to save money.

1) Go more 

This is Barcelona's leading means of saving money. In reality, Barcelona is rather a small town, despite how it looks, and the most of its districts are within walking distance. The travel from El Raval to the Gothic Quarter will take you just seconds, and from Eixample to El Born you will be less than ten minuts away. The finest and cheapest method to see the city is probably public transportation and your own two feet.

2) Take the airport train, rather than a taxi.

A taxi to Barcelona city center from the airport will cost much more than €30, an unneeded, unreasonable charge! It takes a train from the airport's railway station to get to the city for a lower price.

There are many signage to this station in Terminal 2. Terminal 2. There is a free transport between terminals when your flight arrives at the opposite terminal of the airport.

Purchase a T-10 metro ticket from the station and ride a train from either the station Sants or Passeig of Grácia. You can change on the subway line here, then get off at your hotel or apartment at the nearest station.

The airport station is just two trains away, and you have to pick the one at the left side of the platform. The train on the right runs in the opposite direction and you will take the train to your trip back to the airport via rail. It's pretty straightforward, we swear.

3) Eat intelligent

The greatest way to save money is to cook for yourself and the food markets of Barcelona is to buy fresh fruit and to pick the senses. But it is easy to save money by eating clever things in the city if you don't wish to prepare on your holidays.

Just like local people at 14:00, eat your main meal for lunch. If you eat in town at this time, you may enjoy a three-course menu (menú del día) for as low as €10. Many restaurants have a dial menu and traditional, fresh and excellent food is constantly available!

You can take the metro with your T-10 ticket for 10 travels, starting when you go through the twist and ending when you leave the subway. Any line changes, as long as you're not leaving the subway, still counts as the same voyage.

With the ticket T-10, each trip costs a little over €1, compared to at least twice the cost of a single trip without the T-10. You may also share your ticket with several people, just check your friend at the bus stop and how many travels you left!

5) Free visit to museums

Many museums open their doors for free on the first Sunday of each month. This is the finest method to discover the city without having to spend pennies. Try to find out which museums you would like temporary exhibitions before coming to Barcelona.
