Family holiday at Hanoi Imperial Hotel-Halong bay Emotion Cruise: how lovely they were!!

My family have just had a perfect trip in Hanoi, Vietnam

 

My children got 3 weeks for summer holidays. We decided to travel to Vietnam. After reading very carefully the information on internet. We would like to travel to Hanoi and Halong bay for the trip.

We search and found a list of 5 hotels in Hanoi which have a Family rooms that can suite for 4 people as my family (01 couple and 02 children). We tried to contact to all and very satisfied with Hotel Hanoi Imperial. The sales Manager (Ms. Diep) was very lovely to answered all our question with her patient. She recommended to us the "Hotel Hanoi Imperial: Super Summer Sale for Family vacation" with the package at: USD229/person with 4 days-3 nites. The package included: 02 nites in the Hanoi Imperial Hotel's Family Suite room and 01 nite in Connecting Door Room on Halong Emotion cruiser, airport tranfers 02 ways, meals during the trips,..... We thought that price good and suite to us the we booked the trip. We felt very happy to depositing 50% of the price in advance. 

Day 1: We arrived Hanoi at very early morning because the Vietnam airline form Paris. The Hanoi Imperial Hotel's staff waited for us at the lobby of Noi Bai airport with his smile. We then arrived Hanoi Imperial Hotel at about 7h00 am. The font desk staff offered us the buffet breakfast for waiting to check in time (They tried find the room for us for early check in but no any vacant room because of fully booked all rooms for the previous nite).

 

We got our room (4003) at about 10h30am. Then we slept in room till the afternoon without any feeling because of tired. We woke up at 15h00 then go down to font desk. All hotel staff were very cheerful: greeting us with lovely smile... We got a cups of tea and coffee and talked to Ms. Diep. She was very helpful to give us the hotel map showing us the hotel location- very near Hoan Kiem lake (just door steps), coffee shops in around the hotel. She recommend us some good restaurants for dinner (highly recommend: Ngon restaurant). Then she gave us some warning about walking and shopping in around the city like: be careful with scam taxis, ideal to us some good taxi in hanoi; the shopping tips..... those were very helpful with us. We saw the trully love form her as the familiar who always care you at all moment. Oh!"one very importance thing that do not forget to take the hotel business card when you going out incase you get lost" as Diep said. We walked around for the afternoon without any trouble. Thanks so much to Diep. How lovely you are!!!! 

Day 2: the tour guide and bus picked us up to Halong bay tour at 8h00 am as our package. We left our big suitcases at Imperial hotel's store without any extra fee. That was so convenient because we will back the hotel so no need to bring all our things. The tour guide (Mr. Tom) who was very friendly and humorous, tried all his best to making the long trip from Hanoi to Halong bay sorter with alot of information about Hanoi, some destinations belong to the way that i can not remember, just felt very happy till arriving Halong habor (3,5 hours on comfy bus). We then checked in the connecting door room on Halong Emotion Cruise. That was very huge room with very comfy beds with ocean view. The all meals during the trip were wonderful: fest seafood, nice cooking class, amazing Vietnamese Cruises, kayaking,... and a lot of things to do. My children were really love to playing with Mr.Tom as they were together long time ago. That was the best. Because we would like make their mind refresh after long long time studying at school.  Spending 2 days on Halong bay and We left the Halong Emotion cruiser without any complain about their services. Just perfect in all!

Day 3: We backed Hanoi Imperial Hotel and got our lovely Family room again. That was not much thing to do in Hanoi because of we arrival at 16h30. We only went to water puppet show (booked in advance by Imperial Staff) and enjoy the good dinner with nice Hoan Kiem lake view. Oh, our room, both time of staying were very huge,nice city view, comfy beds,good amenities.... We diced extended 01 nite more for shopping and city tour the next day.

Day 4: the shopping day and Hanoi city tour day, we were recommended Hochiming Complex, Temple of literature, Vietnamese Ethnic Museum.. very interesting. We really love Hanoi and would like to comeback again.

 

For recap, we would like to take the opportunity thanks to Hanoi Imperial Hotel-the best hotels in hanoi. All of you, the professional man made our trip excellent. We could not praise them enough so just very highly recommend the Hotel Hanoi Imperial to all fellow travelers.

Yeah! i love hanoi too. I just spent 3 days there for the meeting. And i plan to go back hanoi next year with my family. I will follow to your recommendation for accommodation in 2012. Does the Family room at Hanoi Imperial can fit for 4 people? and do they offer airport transfer from the airport? because i found the unbelievable taxi at Noibai airport (scam taxi)..... many thanks for your advises.
