The Taj Mahal India is so beautiful that it is hard to believe that it was built so long ago. It was built in the 1600’s; it looks like a photo out of a fairytale book, with the building so gorgeous and the water so blue.

Taj Mahal History

Construction of the Taj Mahal started in 1932, and was finished in 1649 over 20,000 workers, worked to build, to create such an oasis. Architects were sought from all over the world, to help design and help create the white marble structure.

            The name for the Taj Mahal came in 1931, after the death of Mumtaz Mahal during childbirth.Her husband and her were truly in love and with her death he wanted to immortalize his love for her, so this mausoleum was built. In this mausoleum both Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are buried, in the room he Shah and built for his wife.


This mausoleum is cared for to this day, the grass is green, the water is blue; the reflection of the sun as it rises and set creates the most enchanting site for the eyes to see.
The base of the Taj is a large, multi chambered, structure.
