PEOPLE AND CULTURE
Kenya has a colorful mixture of people as well as cocktail of cultures. The current population of about forty million is made up of over forty two ethnic groups. However, the Bantus, Nilotes and Cushites form the bulk of the population. The minority, Asians, Arabs and Europeans live mainly in the urban centres. The ethnic diversity has produced a harmonious mixture of people with rich culture heritage.
The national language, Kiswahili is widely spoken by many Kenyans. English is the official language and as such it is spoken at all levels. Besides English, French, German and Italian are also spoken in the tourist industry. The rich culture heritage and diversity of the people is expressed through song, dance, art and artifact which are truly unique and embodies all the enchantment of exotic Africa. To listen to the music or to watch various festivals and ceremonies of any of the ethnic groups is a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Day 3: Kisumu - Full Day
After breakfast, drive to yacht club where you will take your boat to the lake for fishing and visiting the Kiboko Bay Beach Resort for seeing the hippos, you will then join the fishermen at Dunga beach for further fishing expeditions till evening. Dinner and overnight stay in lodge or Hotel in the city of Kisumu
Day 4: Kisumu – Nairobi
In the morning after breakfast explore the Lake shore and then transfer back to Nairobi by flight or by road.
