Autumn with its scintillating fall colors and quirky traditions is time when the 'Zombies'’ * rule the favorites chart. It is Halloween time and my first in the USA. Though the big day is on October 31st and would be missing out the 'Ghostly Greenwich Village' parade of New York. I am in California at present.

In New York I walked the streets and stores of Upper East side, the Village and Soho looking at the whackiest set ups. The pumpkin, a vegetable I am not very fond off, rolls out of the closet adding color to the black, white and the macabre. i

It is also family fun time with treasure hunts, costumes, candies and not to miss out adult fun. The costumes, well the whackier the better especially the childrens.

The pumpkin has definately climbed the ladder of importance.

Adding some random shots of the streets and stores of the Village and Upper East Side to the travel pixs.
