The excessive permit fees and compulsory licensed holder guided needed to make this region expensive. It is one of the preserved destinations of the world. In the upper part of the region, we found Tibetan culture and lifestyle with most people still speaking the traditional Tibetan language. In the lower part of the region, Thakali culture and lifestyle can be seen.

Even Tibetan Buddhism is the major religion of the area, Bond culture and tradition still can be seen there. Mustang is rain shaded zone by the Annapurna Himalayas which makes it one of the suitable destinations for trekking in Monsoon. The glimpses of Annapurna Himalayan ranges, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri make this trekking choice for many people.
