Mui ne beach in Phan Thiet, some 5hours driving from Saigon or 3 hours from Dalat is a great choice for relaxing and honeymoon vacation

Mui ne Beach, Vietnam

Phan Thiet is 200 km from Saigon and lies south of Cam Ranh bay on the southernmost stretch of Central Vietnam. Binh Thuan was once a part of the Cham kingdom. In 1692, Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu captured the area and named it Binh Thuan Dinh. Binh Thuan is quite important in Vietnam's history, as it was because of this area that in 1306 King Tran Nhan Tong agreed to the marriage of princess Huyen Chan to King Jaya Sinhavarman III of the Cham Kingdom. During the revolution against the French, it was in this area that the two patriots Phan Chu Trinh and Tran Quy Cap had their start. Furthermore, according to local lore, the area around Phan Thiet is where Han Mac Tu, the disfigured poet, spent his time forlornly as he waited for Mong Cam, the lady of his dreams.

Picture of Mekong delta

DAY 1: ARRIVAL SAIGON
On arrival Tan Son Nhat airport, transfer to hotel for check in, free time on your own later. Overnight Saigon

DAY 2: SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS– SAIGON CITY TOUR
Early in the morning, we pick you up at your hotel and depart for cu chi tunnels. By 1965, 250 km of tunnels criss-crossed Cu Chi and surrounding areas -just across the Saigon River was the notorious guerrilla power base known as the IRON TRIANGLE. The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the American war in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from Saigon. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep, included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life in the American War must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!) For those interested there’s even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range. Tour ends, we will drive back to Saigon for lunch, next will be visiting the Reunification Palace, war Museum, China Town and Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market. At early this afternoon, tour will be finished at your hotel at 5.00 PM. Overnight Saigon (B/L)

DAY 3: SAIGON- MEKONG DELTA - CAN THO
Heading out of the town, we travel by roads to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up. The most interesting excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving at the most beautiful Unicorn Island. Here we have opportunities to visit some fascinating local industries, stroll around an orchard and taste many seasonal fruits. And then we continue our trip to see fascinating local industries in Ben Tre Province. After feasting on a huge lunch we continue our trip further down to deeper of Mekong delta area and heading for one of the biggest city, the Can Tho city. on arrival, check in the hotel and next will have dinner. Overnight in Can Tho (B/L/D)
