You can get into Goa by plane using the Dabolim airport in Vasco. Some airlines have direct flights to Vasco while most reach via Mumbai. Some of the famous airlines include Kingfisher, Jet Airways, Spice Jet and Indian Airlines. Other cities of India are also connected to Goa through buses. Mainly, buses arrive from Mumbai and Pune. Indian railways also run trains into Goa with direct trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and other cities.

Moving Around
Moving around in Goa is mostly by cars and buses. Motorbikes are also pretty popular means of transport in the state. The bus fares are very cheap and it is very inexpensive way to travel. You can also hire rent a car during your trip into Goa, as it is easy for tourists to lose their way into the various cities.

Major Attractions
Some of the major attractions of Goa are museums, most notably the State Museum. As there is a strong concentration of art and culture in the state, there are various art galleries. The naval aviation museum is a must see for any tourist. Goa is also famous for its beaches. It has a coastline of more than 70 km which includes beautiful beaches. Some of the famous beaches include the Arjuna Beach, Arambol Beach and Palolem Beach. Visitors can relax at the beaches or get a taste of history at the various cathedrals in the city. You can also enjoy the night life of the city which has a number of different clubs and discos.

Food
Eating out in Goa provides a diversifying experience. The majority of the food has a sea food taste. Rice and fish curry is quite famous among travelers. The goan cuisine is based on Portuguese and local Indian flavors. Famous dishes include Vindaloo and Xacut which are known as local delicacies. Goa also offers premium quality of liquor and wines although they tend to be more costly than other areas of India.
