Visiting Carmel-By-The-Sea, California

Visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea is an amazing experience for everybody who appreciates serene, breathtaking views, unique restaurants and beautiful art galleries. Located on the Pacific coast, about 120 miles south of San Fransisco, Carmel is a must see place for everybody traveling through Northern California. There are no street lights or parking meters in the little village of Carmel. Once you arrive, it seems that time stands still as you stroll through the town streets taking in the character and laid back atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere else.  All of the tiny figurines in the shop windows somehow fit here and may even temp you with thoughts that bringing one home may somehow capture the mood and feelings of Carmel for your own home.  I was able to resist those siren songs, however you may not be so lucky!

The restaurants are also an enjoyable part of the trip.  The waiters go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time and even feel as though you may be King and Queen of Carmel!  In fact, you will likely seriously entertain thoughts of moving to Carmel as you rub your full belly and enjoy a perfectly made espresso.  Unfortunately, this town has a way of keeping you at arms length by posting their real estate listings for all would-be-future-residents.....and you suddenly come crashing back to earth.  Not to fear, fellow travelers!  The beach will surely lift your spirits.  The scenes are gorgeous and there is nothing quite like letting the afternoon drift by as you lazily push your toes through the soft sand, listen to the gentle roll of the ocean, and....yeah you're almost there, aren't you?!
