Will Google put Expedia Out of Business?

"Flight Search" is a new feature of Google's search engine.

It's slick.

This new feature built into Google's powerful search engine makes booking a flight a breeze.

If you don't see it in your Google menu bar, just visit the link:

www.google.com/flights/

When fully implemented you will be able to type "flights from Chicago to Denver" directly into Google's search box.

You will be transported immediately to the Flights screen.

Choose your origin (neatly populated by your current location) and a destination, along with travel dates.

The results are listed by date, time and airline. Choosing the outbound leg immediately opens the choices for the return leg.  Click 'Book' and you're almost done.

The results appear incredibly fast, so changing your options is a no-hassle affair.  These listings are not paid or sponsored. Therefore due to marketing limitations, the interface takes you directly to the specific airline's website ready to book (which is not a bad thing).

The sidebar let’s you choose other filters to further refine your search.

I give this a 5 star rating.
