Gehry concert hall at Bard College, New York State

The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, about two hours north of New York City, is a masterpiece of modern design by architectural genius Frank Gehry, reminiscent of his famous Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain. A nearby reflecting pool features an artificial island reached via a very modern take on the old covered bridge. The structures contrast beautifully with the old stone architecture of this bucolic campus.

Sorry to bring on the tears, Karen! If it's any consolation, I'll bet half the kids at Bard don't realize how good they have it and what an idyllic setting their college enjoys. These are things we all appreciate in hindsight. I'm in the Hudson Valley a few times a year, and I truly think it's one of the most beautiful parts of our country. Next time you get a chance, you might just want to check out your old alma mater -- it's well worth a visit. Thanks for checking out the video!

well....  you made me cry a tiny bit. I attended Bard for a minute.  Wish I'd been old enough to appreciate it.
