We love Kiahuna Plantation in Poipu. Great beach, nice grounds, very low-key and homey. Good kitchens, communal gas-grills, etc. Feel free to bargain on prices--we've gotten good deals just by asking.

PS--Beachfront way nicer than garden--worth the extra money.
