What must I do when I'm in Rimini next weekend?

Im off to the 'Notte Rosa' or 'Pink Night' in Rimini, Italy next weekend, what things must I do and see?

Get thee to the beach! Even if it's just for an hour. I was there a few years ago with my Italian family (my cousin-in-law, if that makes any sense, has an apartment there near the beach). It's such a classic Italian beach vacation experience!

On the cultural side dont miss the Tempio Malatestiano, it's a fifteenth century church built by the powerful Malatesta family (their name, believe it or not, means "bad head"). It's a pretty striking place.

Of course, if you had time I'd say go to Ravenna, where they have the most amazing early Christian churches and byzantine style mosaics.

And if you need sombody to carry your luggage... gimme a call!!

I was in Rimini the last Summer, it is really a very beautiful town of Italy. When I went I use a brochure touristic from the office of Tourism and they have a copy on-line, you can get it here: http://www.riminiturismo.it/uWeb/upload/File/guida%20della%20citta/...

It is very complete and it shows you everything you must to see and do in Rimini.

My favorite? The Roman Bridge, it is increible that after 2000 years it still works, and it is beautifull!! (May be we need to get some Ancient Romans to construct our maritime Oil Wells!!!!!)

The freshness of the fish served here is assured by the fact that Alberto's family has for three generations plied the Adriatic Sea in their own fishing boat. Ancient brick walls and beamed ceiling contribute to the Medieval tavern feel of the place while contemporary art work adds a welcome touch of color. Fish and seafood are the stars of the show but classic local pasta dishes like tortellini and tagliatelle make an appearance, too.
