Nothing quite captures the true spirit of East Africa, like a safari in Kenya's richest game reserve, the Maasai Mara. Among the various Mara lodges, Sarova Mara Game Camp offers front seats to nature's most breathtaking show - the wildebeest migration. The endless plains of East Africa are the setting for the world's greatest wildlife spectacle where, from the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne colored hills of Kenya's Maasai Mara, over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa's great predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain ripened grass. Sarova Mara Game Camp is well positioned to enjoy this unique phenomenon. The rolling plains around the tented Camp are teeming with wildebeest, gazelles and zebras, during the migration months and the Camp is situated right in the center of their migration path.

Kenya safari

Lake Turkana Camping Safari

One of the most popular reasons for travel in East Africa is the prolific game, the abundance of bird life, the scenic landscape that makes the three countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania excellent filming locations and some of the best beaches in the world. Trips are undertaken by Claudious Tours and Safaris to the famous game sanctuaries of Maasai Mara, Tsavo, Amboseli, Samburu, Lake Nakuru in Kenya; The above picture was taken at the lake turkana on the northern side of the country.

Northern Kenya is lightly populated, untamed and often barren. Setting foot in these parts is like leaving the 21st century; it is an explorer's heaven, and the variety of tribes that live here are some of the most captivating people in the world. They include the Samburu, Turkana, Rendille, Boran, Gabbra and El – Molo.

This rugged 1,800-km expedition is run in land cruiser or expedition trucks. You will traverse along some of Africa's worst roads; see beautiful mountain forest surrounded o n all sides by hot dusty deserts, eventually arriving at our camp o n the shores of the Jade Sea (Lake Turkana). Claudious tours has been offering this as our best selling safari for over 21 years especially for those true explorers and travelers who want to get off the tourist beaten track and for it, we are highly recommended.
