So my big sister is finally getting married and what she wanted to do for her wedding is not the same ole same ole and wanted to do a destination wedding instead. For some reason she thinks that I am some sort of travel expert and asked me to help her plan her wedding. Well I will be the first to tell you that I'm no travel expert and I didn't know where to begin in regards to planning her wedding.
One of the first things I did was seek the help from a destination wedding specialist. I was able to find this company here who specializes in destination weddings and was very helpful. The first thing that we need to decide on was where we wanted to have this wedding. My sisters top two choices were Jamaica and Cabo. We ended up going with Cabo as we were able to find better prices for not only the hotel but other things as well. As soon as we had the destination picked out we started looking into potential vendors we were going to work with. We already had the wedding dress and was going to have the reception at the hotel we were staying at so we had the food taken care of. What we needed was flowers, entertainment as well as the place we were to have the wedding ceremony. My sister wanted to have the ceremony on a beach so we had to make sure we found the right place for this. Luckily for us we had advice for vendors from the travel company mentioned above and was able to get this taken care of without any problems.
With the wedding planned and everything booked, next step is going to Cabo to watch my sister get married.
