Tourists are advised to visit Haridwar during the winter months as then the weather would be quite pleasant as compared to the scorching summer months, when travel would be indeed tiring during the day. If you plan to visit Haridwar during winters, then do carry some woollens to protect yourself from the cold. You can do a bit of bargaining at the various shops selling precious stones and holy beads. But make sure that you do not get cheated by roadside traders and it is always better to buy at reputed shops after making some discreet enquiries.
