Health care facilities in China?

How difficult and expensive is it to obtain rountine medical care in major cities in China and second-tier  cities? Are private clinics increasing in number?

By "routine medical care" are you referring to annual check-ups and routine tests? or care for someone who gets sick while traveling in China?

If you mean the former - I don't think you should count on these services being available to overseas visitors, but if you mean the latter (care for someone who gets sick while traveling in China), the facilities are available and quite good.
