What are some of the nice restaurants to take lunch and dinner in Shenandoah Valley and Norfolk?

Some of my friends plan to head from Washington DC to Shenandoah Valley and Norfolk to spend some time in March?

There are many in town but it’s up to your taste where you want to step in. To find restaurants in Norfolk you can try this link www[.]norfolkdowntown[.]com/dining/. As far as restaurants are concerned in Shenandoah Valley, I highly recommend Woodruff Inns and Restaurants. You will find a range of cuisines in a very calm & romantic environment with nature at its best.

It is quite a distance from Norfolk to the Shenandoah Valley.  While I'm not too familiar with restaurants around the Shenandoah, Norfolk has some excellent ones.  Consider 4,5,6 Fish, the Monastery and Bodega on Granby St. or Todd Jurich's Tavern or maybe take a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk.  Check out what many other diner's have said by looking at the Norfolk restaujrant ratings on Tripadvisor.com
You are indeed talking about a large geography that cuts through Central Virginia. We have had many guests from all over the state stay at our bed and breakfast just to dine at Barboursville Vineyard's Palladio Restaurant in Barboursville.  And it is no wonder. Chef Melissa Close has been there for over 8 years and has been one of the few chefs nominated again for the James Beard award. There are surprisingly a number of above average restaurants in our local area including Elmwood at Sparks in Orange, Pomme in Gordonsville and the newest one, Vintage at Inn at Willow Grove. Most of the these have menus that use local purveyors so everything is fresh, natural and mostly organic.  We have dined at all of them and have sent our guests to each one and they are all fantastic. Of course, for the first meal of the day, our bed and breakfast, Inn at Westwood Farm in Orange serves Eggs Westwood using natural eggs our chickens laid the day before. Our guests return again and again.  You don't have to take our word for it, check out our reviews on some of the review sites.

Highly recommend the Staunton Grocery in Staunton VA. It should work with your plans since the restaurant is close to the intersection of I81 (the north-south interstate down the Shenanhoah Valley) and I64 (east to Richmond and Norfolk). .  Immerse yourself in a gourmet meal at Stanton Grocery, which pairs award-winning wines with every course, exemplifying the farm to table revolution in today’s dinning and reflecting the breadbasket heritage of the Shenandoah Valley. Take in the theater at the Blackfriars Playhouse, the only re-creation in the world of Shakespeare’s legendary indoor theatre.
