I need a 4 star hotel in Vancouver for 3 pre nights before a cruise. Not one that cost $600.00 per night. Can anyone recommend on to me. Thanks

Hi there, a friend recommends the St. Regis - I've not stayed there but it looks very nice and with free wifi, long distance and breakfast sure looks like a deal!

The Pan Pacific Vancouver is overtop of the cruise terminal. You could almost swing the gang plank into your hotel room. Directly across the street is the Fairmont Vancouver Waterfront (Fairmont have three hotels in the city, plus an airport hotel - all would work). I mention these because you might be able to get a deal on multiple nights or depending on the season or time of week. And they are well below your $600.

The Marriott Pinancle and the Renaissance Vancouver Hotels are about a $10 cab ride to the cruise terminal. And walkable to shops and restaurants.

The Westin Bayshore Resort and Marina Vancouver has a variety of accommodations. It's right on the harbour and $10-$15 cab ride to the cruise terminal, a short stroll to Stanley Park.

You might also check out the Granville Island Hotel. It's stylish and funky and surrounded by shops and cafes and entertainment. You can take a water taxi (about $3 per person) across False Creek to Vancouver.

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa is another good choice.

There's a lot of choice. Check out tourismvancouver.com
