Jacquie, most travel insurance companies will insure "seniors".  If you're not going to go to a Travel Agent for advice and comparisons, you can check some companies out yourself at http://www.squaremouth.com/travel-insurance-quotes.  I don't know how accurate the quotes are, but it will give you a place to start.

I'm not there yet, but my cousin who is 75 and her late husband who was 82, swore by their auto club insurance. My cousin's husband had to be airlifted home three times! She kept expecting them to cut them off, so whenever that bill arrived she rushed to pay it before they could change their mind. 

My cousin belongs to the British Columbia Auto Association. No doubt it's different in the U.S. but it's worth checking into.

This was very easy to use.  But prices seem high.  Minimum is over $300 pp for a 2 week trip!

Glad you found the site easy to use.  However, a minimum of $300 pp does seem a bit over our average quote.  Obviously I don't know the specifics of your trip, so it's hard to say, but the factors that help determine cost include not only the ages of the travelers, but also the destination and your overall trip cost (someone who spends $10,000 on a 2-week trip would have a higher insurance cost than someone spending $2,000, for example).  Also, please note that the prices shown on our site are for ALL the travelers you've entered, not a per-person cost, so if the grid says $300, it means $150 per person.
