That's a great question, Michael. I have written a few times about Fort Lauderdale, but I don't know if there are any specific ways of getting matched up with snorkeling partners. You could try posting on the Fort Lauderdale Beach FB page, that might get the attention of a lot of knowledgeable people. There's always Craigslist Broward County. But probably the best option would be to contact dive/snorkel shops and outfitters http://www.sunny.org/ways-to-play/sports/scuba.
