Wanted - hotel or apartment advice / suggestions for Tokyo in mid Nov

I am traveling to Tokyo for 1 week in mid November and am looking for some hotel or apartment recommendations.

I want it to be central, so my wife can shop and explore whilst I work, close to subways and it should be a fairly decent room or apartment.

I have looked at trip advisor and others, but my main issue in selecting a hotel is orientation.

It has been a while since I last visited and I'm trying to find the sweet spot of where best to situate ourselves in the center of town, shopping and restaurants.

I have considered Citadine apartments, Imperial Hotel and Hyatt Regency Hotel, but I'm wondering what others more knowledgeable may suggest.

Also I'd welcome any advice on day trips and must sees whilst there.
