Seeking an affordable cookery weekend in UK, Spain or France

Hubby is 50 next month and I want to arrange a cookery trip for him (UK, Spain or France). Son and I may or may not want to tag along - we're not interested in cooking, tho' I love creative fabric arts... - it all depends on the price.
Not exactly rich - so any suggestions, guys?

I would come to Paris and take classes here:

don't hesitate to contact me - I can help you book an inexpensive hotel. Your husband can cook while you can ... ;-)
I'd find something to do, I'm sure :-)
I'll take a look at the site, thank you.
Hi Jill,

I'm not sure what your budget is - feel free to send me an email directly on that - but at Culinary Quests we offer a one-day, very hands-on cooking class in Granada, Spain - the heart of Andalucia. Our clients who have taken Jorge's class say it is a 'must have' experience - even for those who don't necessarily love cooking. The class is held in the professional kitchen of a restaurant and includes the full class experience, the lunch following class, and an expert wine tasting provided by one of the local area wineries. I can tell you from experience that you will NOT need dinner the day of the class! You can see the details of the one day class at: http://www.culinaryquests.com/trips/17/detail . The testimonials from some of our recent clients can be seen at: http://www.culinaryquests.com/testimonials .

We can build a customized weekend for you and your husband (and son!) around the one-day class based on his own interests. Though I have to say a tour of the Alhambra is something that cannot be missed There are flamenco shows you could join, we can arrange a spectacular dinner for you with a view of the Alhambra, you can visit the Moorish-influenced hammam to soak in the waters and enjoy a massage, etc.

Granada is a fabulous town because it is large enough to spend a long-weekend exploring, but small enough that you can feel as though you really know it well. You can visit Sevilla, Spain as well, depending on time.

Please don't hesitate to contact me at lhaltzel@culinaryquests.com if you have any questions or would like to discuss options for your husband.

Best wishes,
Laura
Crumbs - what're you doing up at this hour? Will look into this - many thanks :-)
How about a canal barge cruise?

That is the ideal to combine regional sightseeing, culinary activities (from shopping at the nearby village market to cook hands on with the chef on board) while the rest of the party can enjoy cruising, touring, bicycling etc...

You would all love this!
