Of course we will be Tripatini friends. Based on your credentials and NATJA membership all I need to do is extend an invitation personally to you so that you may join IFWTWA. We love IFWTWA. It has just taken off in the last few years to become the prestigious organization it was intended, and yet remains a strong and fairly small non-profit association. We continue to build awareness and welcome more international members. Our Press trips are fab- Mexico last year, Switzerland this year with airfare paid and we have numerous other destinations around the country. It is also very easy to assume an active volunteer role quickly on our various committees. Let me know what else you'd like to know. There is a full list of benefits and application to click on at www.ifwtwa.org. Let me know if interested and I'll let the Executive Director Patty Anis know immediately. I'm going right now to your blog! Friends, Michelle
I first noted your winning last name, and then I saw you are a VP for IFWTWA. I'm an A&E, food & travel writer/editor for a Russian-American weekly newspaper in San Francisco and I write for several other print and online pubs in Russian and in English. I just got elected VP of Bay Area Travel Writers and joined NATJA this year. Have been eyeing IFWTWA for awhile... Would appreciate if you would advise me on IFWTWA membership. Do you mind if I invite you to be my friend on Tripatini (this sounds so middle school:-) Please feel free to check out my page on Tripatini with my posted Russian articles and my blog, Art and Entertain Me www.artandentertainme.blogspot.com
Thanks,
Emma Krasov

Thanks for your comment. I am not fluent in Portuguese but I lived there for 3 years and was able to communicate. At the time, I was teaching in an American International School near Lisbon. In February, I am going back for a month and am so excited about it.
I am practicing my Portuguese again, since it has been a long time.
Maybe if I send you a note on this, you will be listed in my friends box.

To get the most out of Tripatini, you may want to take a moment to join several of our many groups which you may find of particular interest, such as Media Only, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington State, Mexico, New York State, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia/Tahiti, Japan, Eating/Drinking the World, Travel Photography, Adventure Travel, and plenty of others covering many other topics and most destinations across the globe.
FYI, on your profile you'll see a green bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, your travels, and your writing/outlets.
Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, associates, and readers. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). And if you have the opportunity to cover Tripatini in any of your outlets, that would of course be great.
Thanks much for joining us, Michelle; we wish you an outstanding rest of 2009 and look forward to seeing you online.
Cheers!
